USED Friedman Metro D Reseda Green Designed by Dave Friedman – Luthier Grover Jackson with Original Case and Certificate of Authenticity

Dave Friedman and Grover Jackson have built quite a name for themselves with their joint production of high-end electric guitars. And nowhere is their expertise more prevalent than with this Friedman Metro D solidbody electric guitar. The guitar’s mahogany body and figured maple tonewoods sing with balanced sustain and detail. The body then matches to a long-tenon mahogany neck and pau ferro, compound-radius fingerboard. And the custom-voiced Classic and Classic+ humbucking pickups offer carefully tweaked vintage performance. The Metro D is a premier instrument, crafted by some of the most respected names in rock ‘n’ roll tone.

Boutique guitars with custom-shop appointments

Dave Friedman has been modding and building music equipment for such luminary artists as Eddie Van Halen, Jerry Cantrell, and Steve Stevens for decades. And Grover Jackson has been building high-performance guitars for thousands of players around the world. Together, they’re bringing you this Friedman Metro D solidbody electric guitar. And with high-end appointments found throughout, such as Jescar 47095 fret wire, an eminently playable compound-radius fingerboard, and lightweight tonewoods, the Metro D sets itself apart from all the others.

Custom, handmade electronics

The Metro D’s electronics bear the earmarks of Dave Friedman’s genius touch. With tones that can go from warm jazz to punchy rock and everything in between, these custom humbuckers deliver a vintage tone with a modern spin. Friedman Classic and Classic+ humbuckers balance a clear top end that enhances string-to-string definition with an aggressive midrange that leaps forward when driving an amp hard. And the internal CTS pots and Orange Drop capacitors deliver the purest signal possible. The range and versatility of these pickups is truly something to experience.

Set-neck construction

The Metro D is Friedman’s flagship set-neck electric guitar. As a tip of the hat to the golden years of electric guitar craftsmanship, the neck is carved from a ringing piece of mahogany and is set into the Metro D’s solid body with a long neck tenon. This construction method not only ensures structural integrity but also transfers the strings vibrational energy deep into the guitar’s tonewoods. Your fingers will also notice the rosewood fingerboard’s 10″–14″ compound radius, allowing you to enjoy comfortable chording and spot-on bends across the range of the neck.
