After years of existing only as an early prototype, the Wild Blue finish is finally making its production debut on the PRS Silver Sky. Developed during the early stages of PRS’s collaboration with John Mayer, the color dates back to the original Silver Sky project but was never released until now. This limited-edition model also marks the first Silver Sky to feature a color-matched painted headstock.

The Wild Blue Limited Edition stays true to the Silver Sky formula, pairing an alder body with a 25.5-inch scale maple neck. It is available exclusively with a rosewood fingerboard, which features a vintage-inspired 7.25-inch radius and PRS’s signature small bird inlays.

Standard Silver Sky hardware remains intact, including a steel tremolo bridge, bone nut, vintage-style locking tuners, and John Mayer’s 635JM single-coil pickups.

PRS plans to build no more than 1,000 Wild Blue Limited Edition Silver Sky guitars during 2026. The finish joins the exclusive ranks of Nebula and Lunar Ice, making it only the third limited-edition color ever offered for the Silver Sky.
