The PRS S2 Standard 24 is a straightforward, no-nonsense player’s guitar with plenty of versatility. The all-mahogany construction gives it a warm, resonant character, while the PRS 58/15 LT pickups deliver plenty of clarity, punch, and definition. It’s equally at home plugged straight into an amp or paired up with a pedalboard.
The solid mahogany body and set neck give the Standard 24 a nice feel and sustain, with the 58/15 LT pickups adding a good balance of warm lows, strong mids, and clear top end. The vintage-inspired, pickguard-mounted electronics give it a slightly different look from the more dressed-up PRS models, and the overall aesthetic is pretty understated.
The Standard 24 has its roots in the original PRS Standard models from the late ’80s, which were known for their all-mahogany construction and stripped-down approach. The S2 version keeps that same basic idea while giving you a very practical, gig-ready instrument. If you’re looking for a PRS that’s versatile, comfortable, and a little more understated than the typical PRS look, this one fits the bill.
