Introduced for 2024, the Fender Custom Shop 1957 Stratocaster® Heavy Relic® pays tribute to one of the most legendary electric guitars ever made. Inspired by the classic 1957 Strat®, this model captures the look, feel, and unmistakable character that made the original a favorite among players.

Built with a two-piece select alder body a one-piece rift-sawn maple neck featuring a comfortable ’57 Soft “V” profile, and a single-ply parchment pickguard, it stays true to the late-1950s design. A set of three Custom Shop hand-wound Tomatillo Stratocaster pickups, including a reverse-wound, reverse-polarity middle pickup, delivers the signature Strat sparkle, clarity, and quack, while Vintage Modified #2 wiring and the Greasebucket tone circuit add extra warmth and fullness without sacrificing definition.

The Heavy Relic lacquer finish recreates the appearance and feel of a guitar that has spent decades on the road, giving it an authentically aged, road-worn aesthetic from day one.

Additional features include a 9.5-inch fingerboard radius, 21 narrow tall (6105) frets, a five-way pickup selector, Custom Shop vintage synchronized tremolo, vintage-style tuning machines, a bone nut, wing string tree, and premium accessories including a deluxe hardshell case, strap, and certificate of authenticity.
